What is Ordinly?

Ordinly keeps the admin side of your trade work in one place: who you work for, what you agreed to do, and what’s left to finish.

The pieces

Four things fit together, each inside the one above it:

• Clients — the people and businesses you work for. A client can have several contacts, so you can keep the site foreman and the accounts department separate.
• Projects — a piece of work for a client. A project holds its own documents, invoices, and plan.
• Tasks — the individual jobs inside a project. Each task can carry its own checklist and documents.
• Your company — if you work with a crew, a company lets you share all of the above with them and control who sees what.

You don’t have to use all of it. Plenty of people run Ordinly with just clients and projects.

Where your work lives

Everything you create sits in one of two places: your personal account, or a company you belong to. This is the one choice worth understanding before you start, because it decides who else can see your work.
